During Green Apple Days at the Capitol:
1.) Learn more about how our laws are passed and be trained in how you can best impact that process;
2.) Attend a special reception and legislative briefing covering the top education and behavioral health legislative issues today and which issues will be addressed in the Florida Legislative Session;
3.) Meet with and lobby your legislators;
4.) Enjoy food and fellowship with other like-minded friends from around the state; and
5.) Enjoy a historic guided tour of the Old FL Capitol.
Green Apple monitors both federal and state legislation of significance to member organizations for several reasons including:
1) to make the membership aware of pending or new legislation that impacts child care, elementary and secondary schools, residential treatment centers, substance abuse providers, and after school programs, and
2) to advocate on behalf of the children served in member organizations.
